We, the Smikalla family, are a traditional showman company in its seventh generation and look back on a long history of enriching German folk festivals with our rides and attractions. For many years, we have been proud to be part of the German fairground tradition and to offer countless guests unforgettable moments. But in 2020, the coronavirus crisis came completely unexpectedly and presented the entire industry with enormous challenges. With a complete professional ban on showmen, we faced a difficult time and had to look for new ways to support our business and our family.

While looking for possible sources of income, we happened to come across a disused mini-golf course, which immediately caught our eye. This brought back an idea we had while on vacation in America: an adventure golf course that is more than just mini golf.

We wanted to create something that not only entertains visitors, but also takes them into a whole new world. This is how the vision of Tortuga Adventure Golf was born - a themed course with hills, meadows and detailed landscapes. Every corner and every obstacle tells a story and takes visitors on an adventure they won't soon forget. We have put all our passion, creativity and the experience of our long tradition into building this unique adventure world.

With Tortuga Adventure Golf, we not only want to create a new adventure for the whole family, but also bring a bit of the hospitality and sense of community that we have always cultivated as showmen into the hearts of our guests.
